Student Teachers Work Full-Time—For Free. Help Trinity Stay Afloat.

Trinity is working 40+ hours a week teaching music—without pay. She needs help to make it through her unpaid semester so she can become the teacher she was meant to be.

Passionate. Dedicated. Broke.

Trinity is majoring in music education at the University of North Texas. When she graduates in May, she will be the third generation music educator in her family.

She student teaches full-time (7:30 AM - 5:00 PM) without pay, meaning she has no income for rent, food, or basic expenses.

Why no Pell Grants? She fell into the financial aid trap: her family makes "too much" for grants but not enough to support her.

Her goal: Raise $14,000 to survive until her first teaching job in August.

This is the harsh reality of unpaid student teaching—and your support will change everything.

Where Your Support Goes

  • $950/month – Rent & Utilities

  • $500/month – Groceries & Convenience Food for the Long Days

  • $200/month – Gas & Transportation

  • $300/month – Insurance, Subscriptions, and Exam Fees

  • $500 – Professional teaching supplies and attire

  • $1,800 – Relocation and moving

TOTAL GOAL: $14,000

Student Teachers Deserve Better

Student teaching is a full-time job, but future music educators are forced to work for free.

Unlike internships in other professions, there are no stipends, no scholarships, and no financial safety net.

Many student teachers take on debt, work second jobs (impossible with the teaching schedule), or drop out.

Teachers already don’t make much—why do they have to suffer before they even begin?

“Trinity has already impacted so many students—imagine what she’ll do when she finally has her own classroom.”
